i was wondering what kind of 3dmark scores you get and please post your cpu,mobo, psu, etc. specs please. i have an 8800gts 320mb and was liking how cheap the 3850's were costing on newegg ($179.00) right now and was thinking what would be better. dual 3850's or 3870's with possible mobo upgrade or getting another 8800gts with a bigger psu. ideas?
I'd say, go for the second 8800GTS.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Yeah id probably reccomend just sticking with the 8800's, although im a bit of an ati fan. Id only reccomend that setup first off, not if you already have a 8800gts.
Damn good price on these 50's and 70's.. my eyes fell out of my head when i saw them. Ill be hooking up a long needed dual 3870s and a 2600pro for phisics setup this month whooohoooo. Definitly the card to look at atm IMO/

Yea but it loses against AA and AF tests, apart from that, these are 8800GT's he has a GTS 320 MB now. You could still go crossfire with the HD 3870's tho, but I care more about AA and AF so I'd say SLi 8800GT's (same price after all mayb a bit hihgeR)
SRy but I reason to belive those reviews and benchmarks are fake. Look at the last one, 1920 x 1200 4xAA 16xAF 3DMark has a 106.19% increase. That is just bullshit, the maxmimum boost you can get from CF or SLI is 100%, anything over 100% dosent make ANY logical sense.

Yea I thought the same when I read over 100% Plus the fact I didnt think it was actually possible to get anything more than a 60% improvement under the best circumstances.
