Mouse and Keyboard Compatible with PS3

The Inquirer is reporting that despite having up to seven Bluetooth 2.0 controllers, and six USB slots, and you’ll also be able to plug in a keyboard and a mouse on your PS3. Sony also said that you’ll be able to play games like Unreal Tournament 2007 with a keyboard and mouse, which would make aim much more precise for many PC gamers who previously might not have picked up a console game due to the controller’s limits.

This opens up incredible possibilities for the PS3 in multiple game genres, especially the typical first person shooters. While this is definetly music to PC gamers ears, it might be sour news for fans of consoles since the keyboard and mouse is superior in aim to a controller. Another interesting idea, what would this do to PC gaming?

It’s the best news I’ve read in quite some time, and I hope it ends up being done properly. For PC Gamers, we can finally come up with other reasons for being fragged, other then poor controls.

And a new Logitech Keyboard built for the PS3! Logitech's New MediaBoard Keyboard

PS3 Graphics + PC Style Gameplay + Potentially a larger screen TV (than your Monitor), what could go wrong?

This would truly be wonderful news...I am rubbish at aiming with a controller. Can anyone tell why I cant use my normal USB keyb and mouse for games at the moment??? do the games have to be programmed for it or what???? anyways great news.

i don't know.......... I think right now it's just for UT III, but I read somewhere that this feature is only for FPS Games, so If you aren't playing an FPS that may be the reason.

It will be like running a game on a high end PC, and don't go calling me an idiot, go to Sony call them idiots. All I've done is posted this information so that other PS3 Users will know of this great feature for this great console.

You can connect a PC to a 32inch flat screen and you can get a really good computer for less

You can connect a PC to a 32inch flat screen and you can get a really good computer for less

PS3's cost around 399$ now... I don't know of a good computer that can run like a PS3 for less than that.

Damn i am a bit envy of that...I only got a 42 inch (428xd) but i like it...on the other hand I cant imagine having a 60 inch it must take up alot of wall space

Some games come out specifically for consoles and not PC's. So if you want to play a game you cant play on PC but you enjoy the mouse and keyboard feel then the adapter is perfect.
