A lot of people ask me what media player do I use. I do listen to a lot of music. The moment I get on my PC iTunes is blazing full blast on my sub woofer. But why I use iTunes you ask? Let me tell you why.

I use iTunes not because it is the best media player, it's just simply because it is decent, well supported and looks good. However, as for memory usage, using on average 36mb, which is a lot compared to others. But it does perform well. Good sound, it pretty much never crashes and it has a tool where you can acces shared music on your network. It is a mixture of both performance and style, however I would say moderate in each case. I would only reccomend using it if you have an iPod or of course using an iMac of Macbook Pro.

Windows Media Player. People who use this don't know what they're missing. After experimenting with all the popular media players I went and compared to WMA and my draw dropped. I had never noticed the bad quality in the sound before. And the fact that crashing is regular (has been improved with WMA 11) and that product licsence protection thing is just so annoying. I hate not being able to rip CD's that i bought myself onto my computer. What it is good for however is watching DVD's. And that's all I can say for it really. I just hate the program to be honest. If your still using it please switch to another media player. You will defintely notice the difference.

The next media player is my personal favourite. Winamp. Almost completely customizable, it can play almost every media file including AVI. format which is what most torrents are saved as. It can play all the format's which unlike the above two means that you can play music at maximum quality. It also gives you an option when your burning CD's what bitrate (basically quality) you would like them to be played at. With both WMA and iTunes music is ripped to standard 128kbps quality but with basic winamp you can run it at 258kbps. Quality is not also one of the main factors why this is my favourite media player. There are so many different style to winamp. You can also adjust the opacity which makes it look even cooler if you have a nice wallpaper. I would have to give this program 10/10 without a doubt. It also has iPod support so you don't have to stick with iTunes if you have an iPod. I do because iTunes tells you when there is updates for firmware and stuff like that!

To be honest, I don't think that I need to say anymore . Winamp has it all. Only takes up 4mb of ram during use. Looks good. Performs optimum quality for both sound and video. The newest version even has it's own web browser. I know a lot of people are using WMA and I was bored so I thought I would make this just to explain to them what they are missing out on quality wise.

Well enjoy I guess!
