Hey, i always loved RC helis, but after playing BF2 i got myself a decent heli after a few basics.. I still get reminded of bf2 almost every time i fly, dunno why ..
Anyone else get into RC helis because of battlefield??

While on the topic of RADIO CONTROLLED shit .. what have we got goin here??

Nope. RC then BF2. I had a honey bee Mk. 3, a Bladerunner 2 and a Honey bee king V2.
They all rock.

Yeah but thats what sims are for.. they seem like they might be boring but help soooo much.
Ive been into my rc cars & trucks for a while, i know the feeling though, its a shame the hobby does that to people ( makes them leave )..

I got out of the hobby for 2 years and actually started smelling nitro oil one day, had to get another just to get my fix!! so addictive

I have always wanted a nitro powered RC plane or helicopter. I have a nitro powered 4WD car that will do 50+ mph. The only parts I ever seem to have to buy are tires and wheels. I did break a tierod or something in the steering but it was only like $4 or something. I ripped the spoiler off the rear end once when it crashed but it was only cosmetic anyway. The car is so fast it is hard to control unless you have a wide open parking lot or something. When driving it on a two lane road at speed, the slightest change in direction usually sends it off the road doing flip after flip. My car seems to be amazingly durable though for some of the crashes I have had with it. My brother was driving me in his truck while I was driving the RC car out in front of us at about 10 to 15 mph and my RC car accidently got run over by the truck. All it did was warped one of the wheels on it. I didn't have the body on it at the time, as I am sure it would have cracked it up pretty good. I need to get mine out again, haven't had it out in about a year.

i went out and bought one of those polystyrene $40.00 jobs an got hooked after playing bf2 for a while. Now i want to move onto something better.
I'm even planning on taking up glider flying (real gliders...not RC).
