I've heard good things about it
But srsly I just downloaded it and why does it own over IE7?

I had some problems with IE7 in that past (like clicking tabs then crash to desktop) but not many rly.

Firefox is absolutely fantastic, after a few minutes of tweaking mine ended up looking superb:

It is very fast, easy to use and well worth the download. I plan on making a much more detailed Firefox post soon explaining the full benefits and so on so forth. Definitely give it a try, I know you'll love it!

It opens 4 web pages (in tabs) as my home page, one master password writes in all my C2 compliant passwords, bf2s.com add-on, No Script Addon, download status bar, I get ZERO popups, its free, and I have not had one Trojan horse or virus since I started using over 2 years ago. FF FTW

Not to mention it renders webpages a whole lot better than IE.

Before Zimmer comes in here and ruins the greatness of Firefox (it's still great) - he uses Opera. Opera is a pretty great browser, but I've always just been benevolent towards Firefox. You should try out both and see which one you prefer.

But yes. I use Opera, and it is great. Firefox is not great on older computers like mine, so that's the main reason I like opera more. A customized FF is fine for a newer computer than mine.

Its fast,
its SOOO MUCH SAFER.
the popup blocker works flawlessly.

and one thing ive noticed, that i really, really like. is the right click menu in firefox. more importantly, the 'View Image' button, for when i want to view just that image on its page. Theres also the copy image and copy image location that i just dont find on IE.

Plus, i can run firefox and no protection and stay uninfected.
But as soon as i fired up IE (i had to see if things displayed on IE correctly on my page) i got infected, and now i just disable IE till i really need it.

That brings me to whats probly my final point, ive noticed that Firefox is very kind when it comes to reading HTML. It makes things look right, for example, i had a mess of code for my myspace which displayed perfectly on Firefox, but looked SOOOO fucked up on IE.

I just love firefox for so many reasons.

if you are not compitent with one, you may not be compitent with another. Thye each have thier benefits, there is no silver bullet. I like firefox for its extensions model and segregation from the os.
