lol yer i am aware of problems with norton... but it cant just be that because my brothers computer is running faster and its worse than mine.... and we both use norton 360
Get rid of Norton. Trust me its a complete memory hog. Uninstall it and get something like AVG.
I want to recommend a virus check, but ive really become a fan of reformatting.Little BaBy JESUS wrote:

@cian. i have done many defrags/cleanups...
will i have problems if i do remove dell software?
also ... i really dont feel like reformating... but if it comes to it i will
First of all, the 'Dell' preloaded software is a bunch of crap. Companies pay dell to preload there shit on your computer because that might make you like it and use it.
By reformatting, you'll have a completely fresh computer running at peak performance with only the software you put on it.
I highly recommend the reformat.
If you have your Windows Disk.
Which if its from Dell, i would expect that Dell did NOT give you a Windows disk, because Dell are a bunch of fags.
Stay away from Norton and Mcaffee.
Stick with AVAST, NOD32, or AVG.
I know these programs cost money but if your not knowledgable in the software stealing area of the internet, i and im sure many others would be glad to help you.
Personally i run NOD32.
Also, most of all, i honestly, REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY! encourage you to use FIREFOX if you dont already. Its sooooo much safer then Internet Explorer, just as easy to use, and does the same stuff plus more.
