that's why i always recommend evga, if you time it right, the step-up program will keep your gpu costs down.[TUF]Catbox wrote:

Cool thanks. I was searching froogle and newegg a couple weeks ago and wasn't able to find any However, $300 is too much for me right now. I guess I'll settle with half the quality for half the price right now.[TUF]Catbox wrote:

Heh, I just realized I'm such a greedy bastard. I should probably save my money and just go with the 8800, but I want this computer and I want it now! But in looking at charts, the X1950 pro still performs pretty well, and significantly better than the 8600.
The X1950PRO is a kickass budget card. I'm using it and I can run COD4 and BF2 on full high with it @1280*1024
I think everything non-mobo can run BF2 on high todaycian1500ww wrote:

Get either a E6850, or a Q6600 Q6700
Not COD4 thoughFloppY_ wrote:

I have an E6550 which is a cheap dual core to buy. It runs at 2.33GHz but is easily overclocked. I have mine running at 2.7Ghz
Take it if you can get it. I still have a single core and it blows.
dual core at least, with a budget of $1000, you can buy a decent quad-core system, 8800GT and at least 2 gigs of 800Mhz ram.
Im sticking with the dual core Conroe 3.0 ghz <-- ownage.
I have a conroe E6600... it is wineusgen wrote:

6850 is a waste of money.
