2nd Harddisk problem.

So I bought an 2nd harddrive for my computer. I connected the drive to my computer correctly, and I can see it in the BIOS.

Now the problem is:
I can't see it under my OS (vista). And a strange thing is that the BIOS says that both drives are "MASTER", while both drives are SATA(so no need for master/slave settings according to google).

My first drive(with OS and files etc): Western digital WD1600JD (160GB)
the second drive I've bought(with nothing on it): Samsung spinpoint HD321KJ (320GB)

EDIT: And I can't see it under diskmanagement either....

Did you connect it so one is master and the other slave?

I don't know what it's called but you can make one drive a master drive and the other something else. Check your bios for drive settings.

Edit :Master for one slave for the other. thanks to the poster above me I remembered what it was.

Well, as I only have one jumper,: I tried setting the Western digital to MASTER.... Didn't work, both drives were still shown as "MASTER"
Tried running without the jumper: No result, both drivers were still shown as master...

You should be able to set the master/slave options in the BIOS.

Check the 'ATA/IDE Configuration' setting from bios, had the same problem my self and changing that fixed it.
For me it was under "Integrated peripherals > SATA Devices configuration"

Ok I fixed it, I enabled a function (of which I don't remember the name anymore ), and the disk showed up under diskmanagement
