I need help. I was wondering if it was possible to transfer some of the movies/songs to another iPod without erasing the songs that are already on that iPod.
There's a few ways. First, you can open the iPod in Windows Explorer and copy all of the music from /ipod control/music; add them to your library, and sync, erasing the ipod, but replacing it.
or
Use another program like winamp to add them manually without erasure, but also not allowing you to use iTunes with the ipod.

Arcane and complex procedures. That'll teach you to buy proprietary crap like an iPod instead of something simply running as a drive.
I didn't ask for an opinion about what or what not I should buy. I asked for help, not someone to tell me what the hell to buy to listen to music.Skorpy-chan wrote:

Yeah, but this is the internet. You get a lot you don't ask for. Opinions, advice, porn on google searches, that sorta thing.
Seriously, iPods are just for people who don't know what an MP3 player is.

Couldn't you import his music into your itunes playlist, then add the new stuff and sync it or whatever?
Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it
