First off, my current rig:

AMD Athlon 64 4000+ 2.4 GHz
1gig ram
80 gig HDD 7200 rpm
Integrated ATi Radeon x200 128 MB

I currently get 15-20 fps on a 64 player karkand battle in BF2

I'm considering upgrading my RAM from 1 gig to 2 gigs, but I have a few questions:

Will I get a significant increase in FPS?

If so, how much do you think? 10, 20, 30 FPS avg?

What speed for the RAM? (MHz)

You run Bf2 on a x200? Ouch, I'd be looking at a graphics card mate, not RAM.

If you want to see fps increases, get a better video card.

For ram, do you have more info on your current type and speed of ram?

I'm guessing you might have DDR2. Get a pair of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6820161198
You might get between 5-10 fps increase with just ram alone.

RAM will only decrease loading times and will give less choppyness at the start of a round.

While 1GB is not optimal, your video card is definitely your biggest issue. Even if you have a low budget of say $100, you can still get a far better card than integrated X200 graphics. If you can spend a bit more than $100, the Radeon 3850 is a great price/performance card.
