Birthday and XMAS are coming up and I'm wondering which one to get. I could care less about system specs and all that junk, I'm more concerned with which one has better titles. So, what do you think?
If you're concerned with better titles, go with 360 all the way. Mainly for Halo 3.
360. I was with PS2 with the last generation of consoles, now it's the Xbox turn.
360, i have one and my friend has a ps3 and personally i think everything about the xbox is better.
way more games, i even found the graphics to be more sharp and better (i dont play on an hd tv, neither does he) and just overall better
360 all the way

Xbox 360 for Every aspect.
If you want for now (or the short term) 360 - but if your looking over the next two years I think the PS3 will be a beter bet (its just a bit slow getting the good titles going)
Well most of the good titles are on the 360 IMO, the bad thing about the 360 though is that it can break down pretty fast (ring of death), but everyone i knew that had that got a free one returned (some several times ).
PS:and the achievements thing is also pretty fun.

PS3. Metal Gear Solid 4 and SOCOM: Confrontation are coming out around the spring of 2008. Socom will probably be a great online hit while MGS4 is great for the story etc.
I heard Warhawk is a pretty good game to get for the online play. From the demo of Motorstorm that I downloaded on PSN, it's a pretty fun game.
Gran Turismo 5 is coming out soon, also.
Also, you can download PS1 games such as Twisted Metal 2 for like 6-7 dollars off of PSN.
The XMB is a pretty good interface, the internet browser is good too.
Give the PS3 some time for the developers to get the full potential of the system out and great games will come.

GTA, MGS, Pro Evo, Fight Night, Crash Bandicoot shall I continue?

I'd say PS3. I don't have much experience with either, but the fans on the 360 broke on my mates 360 after just a couple of months. I replaced them with some 80mm's. They were horrifyingly loud even before they broke... (Or was it one fan? Can't remember)
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Depends on what you want.
Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2, MGS4 will be on the PS3. X360 has Halo 3/Bioshock. I was with the PS2 so I know more about Gran Turismo/MGS/Killzone than I know about Halo etc.. so that's why I'm gonna get a PS3. Most games like PES/GTA are on both systems these days. The PS3 has a built in blu-ray player and has a free network (internet/mp). The X360 is cheaper and although you gotta subscribe to the Xbox Live, it's abit better.
Go for whatever you want. If you're gonna get a 360 do some research and make sure you get a 360 with 65nm chips so it doesn't break down as often.
Like I said, depends on what you want. Check out the exclusives on both systems and see for yourself what you like, no point getting opinions as everyone is different as to what they like.

I'm a Sony Loyalist ever since the first Playstation. Sony's consoles, from what I've seen, were all fairly slow at the starting gate. Coming up on 08' I really see the PS3 beginning to show it's potential. But game wise...I think as of now, 360 is your best bet. In a year or so...I see the PS3 toping the 360 in titles.
Here's my analogy: PS3 is like a finely engineered car...it takes time to warm up, but when it does...it takes off like a rocket and lasts for a good time. 360 is like an American Muscle car...the thing rumbles and roars (literally! Have you heard the fan on that thing!?), but after that first year or two, it dies down and sits in your drive-way with a blue tarp covering it.

By the time the PS3 is at a normal price and is available to the masses Microsoft will be releasing it's next console.TrueMusou wrote:

Actually you can get a Premium 360 for £250 and a PS3 40GB for £280. £30 difference. Not that much. Since the PS3 comes with a bigger hard drive, Free Online and Blu-Ray, I'd say that it ain't that bad. The price difference isn't that much anymore. Although an X360 Arcade does look like a good deal. Actually....it isn't considering what you get.
Yeah, and you'd have to dish out another 400+ dollars for the new XBOX 540 that does the same thing the matured PS3 can do.jord wrote:

Here's a couple of things you should know
============================================
And if anyone wishes to, feel free to tell me more things to add to this.
============================================

+Wider game selection
+Higher quality VOIP
+More commonly owned
-Hardware failures are prominent
-Limited backwards compatibility support
-Online is Pay 2 Play (Xbox Live)

+More potential in terms of hardware
+SixAXIS control is unique and interesting
+Playstation Online play is free
+Blu-Ray support for larger games
-Expensive
-Newer consoles switched from hardware backwards compatibility to software
-Few games available, rarely any exclusives
-VOIP has worse quality than Xbox 360 (I held a comparison at the local gaming center to verify this)

360 all the way
Xbox has better titles at the moment
The market place is very very good
And the arcade is just awesome(nothing like playing replaying some streetfighter)

Nobody uses all the memory anyway. I don't even use 1 fifth of it with all my game saves.Mekstizzle wrote:

As of now the 360 and PS3 is nearly neck to neck in respect to technological results from games (360 is leading a bit...but it was released several months earlier). The PS3 has technological potential that the 360 doesn't. So the most microsoft can do with their next console is match what the PS3 has.jord wrote:
