I am in need of some advice, I'm planning on getting a MP3 for my parents - except I have next to no idea which one to get, I know little in this field..

I humbly ask you, bf2s, to save me from making a fool of myself and buying some shit overpriced MP3.
My budget is around £40-£80, if I'm feeling happy.

Thankyou

PS; yes, I would have taken the advice from Buckles thread but his budget was a little higher than mine

sandisk has a good line up of mp3 players. Small, last a good while on 1 aaa, easy to use as well.

He speaketh the truth.

Sandisk
E250 - 2Gb - £49.99
E260 - 4Gb - £59.10
E270 - 6Gb - £69.99
E280 - 8Gb - £79.99

I personally have the E280 and love it. I truly cannot fault it in any way - great sound quality and storage capacity at a fantastic price without tying you into the POS that is iTunes. You can use Windows Explorer very easily but I prefer to sync with WMP11 - just make sure they read the manual or watch the online video tutorials at Sandisk's website first.

All the best,

Are your parents really going to watch videos on mp3 players?  I'd just get a cheaper music player opposed to an expensive multimedia player.  The Sandisks mentioned above would be good choices.

iPod is MP4 (AAC) not MP3 and SanDisk is probably the best bang for the buck when it comes to MP3 players.
