You mean like how the 360 can do everything the PS3 can?

As of now the 360 and PS3 is nearly neck to neck in respect to technological results from games (360 is leading a bit...but it was released several months earlier). The PS3 has technological potential that the 360 doesn't. So the most microsoft can do with their next console is match what the PS3 has.

I agree, I was actually going to get a PS3 but couldn't be bothered with the wait. I think this thought is echoed by thousands if not millions. Console gamers with the 360 have already got what they want, no point in getting both. Last generation there was actually points in getting both the Xbox and PS2, I got them both and used them both. They just too similar now to buy both, so people go for the cheaper one.

That's Blu ray disc aside.

Very true...only time will tell how these two consoles will fair in a year? 2 years?

What this shows is just how powerful the "cell" processor is in the PS3 .

In time this will prove to be so much better than anything else out there. BUT it will take time.  I have a ps3. I am happy with it. 60 GB only though!!!!!!!

You can atually see assmans creed looks better on ps3

yeah every game i have played on the 360 looks better on a 360 than on a ps3, for example i have nhl 2k7 and so does my friend with a ps3
this graphics on the 360 just destroy it seriously...

No assassins creed actually looks clearly better on ps3, not like the non-existant differences in CoD4 and most other games. Up until this game there really have been no differences

You think? I dunno i have played assassins creed on both, i thought it was relitivaly equal, although note that i wasnt playing on hd tv's

Verdict
The PS3 is still in its infancy as a console and so can't really compete with the Wii and 360 when it comes to amazing exclusive games. But it's a machine with incredible capabilities and a bright future - with a role as a multimedia machine to be placed at the heart of your HD set up. Then with PlayStation Home and LittleBigPlanet out next year, the online service might even outshine Xbox Live.

It's the console for you if:
+ You want more out of your console than just gaming
+ You're prepared to wait for the PS3 to fulfill its potential
+ You want to become part of an online community (PlayStation Home) from day one

Out of the three consoles, the 360 is the one enjoying the best quality line-up at the moment. Not only does it receive the best of third-party games such as Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty 4, but with Project Gotham, Halo and Mass Effect it has essential games you can't play anywhere else. The 360 is definitely the console for gamers who want everything NOW and are prepared to overlook some of the potential technical difficulties.

It's the console for you if:
+ You want to play the best conventional games out there
+ You're keen to get involved in online gaming
+ You're after the cheapest way into HD gaming
