I read the book recently and I have to say I'm sort of dissapointed. Nevermind that it was nothing like the movie trailers but just the slow dragging plot that was written with the painstaking lack of important events was almost too much to bear. The beginning was strong and got my attention. Enough for me to buy it and take it home from B & N. But everything after the page that I stopped at in the store went downhill. A book centered about vampires and their existence is over done. Granted this book was written many decades ago but still. It might have been good in its vernacular but not now. The ending just sucked..... Neville dies as a symbol of the last of his kind as a new era of the living undead spreads through out the world....
