Hatton got fucked up!
Just watching it in full again and let's be honest, the ref was fucking awful, which heavily favoured mayweather.

I know fucking karate
Why do people though the term Chav around when they haven't even been here. It's lost more effect as a term than Nazi.
I agree with Jord.
But i've only just got up.
Party + Drinking + Boxing at 5 am = not good

Yeah he lost but he didn't get fucked up. Go learn about boxing
Also I knew hatton had lost before I even heard the result, I could just feel it
I sort of felt that too, even if i wanted Hatton to win, its just, everyone expected him to win, so he obviously didn't, even i thought he'd win, and i don't like boxing.bennisboy wrote:

I just spoke with Hatton personally, he said he wasn't trying and he let Mayweather win.
All is good my UK friends.

After reading through Kmarion's thread I have a feeling that if Hatton would have won the fight tonight, this thread would already be 15 pages long about how the USA sucks and cant fight anymore and on and on and on. Lets be glad Hatton didn't win so most of you wont have to show your true colors.
hatton looks like he boxes with his face.
No, for the fight to be reminisant of that, the fight would have gone like this. Hatton is beating the crap out of Mayweather when a French and Spanish boxer run in the ring and save his arse. Afterwards the French boxer, as well as saving Mayweather's arse, gives him a statue of lady holding some books and a candle but this still doesn't stop Mayweather spending the rest of his career calling his saviour a "cheese eatinng surrender monkey" and pointlessly renaming foodstuffs like chipped potatoes to "freedom fries".Poseidon wrote:

Hatton takes the defeat on the chin, afterall he was winning until those other two boxers showed up, and he goes on to never lose again unlike Mayweather who goes down hill. Firstly he shys away from fighting a German champion, showing up late and then incorrectly taking the credit for the German's deafat. It got worse though when Floyd went on to fight a Vietnamese boxer and got owned. Despite the unanimous decsion, Mayweather still says it was a draw.
Anyway both fighters are now a tag team touring Iraq, Hatton is basically wiping up after Mayweather in the middle east and giving him some kind of credibility back....

Guys, knock it off with the petty personal attacks. Talk about the fight or don't talk at all.
Yes, I wanted Hatton to win, but yes, he got his ass handed to him. The score cards were WAY off in my opinion, though. If I remember correctly, each judge had Mayweather winning by 7-8 points, which means Hatton only really won two rounds. Hatton definitely came out of the gate as the stronger fighter, but Mayweather "weathered" (a delicious pun) the storm and let Hatton tire himself out. Once the eighth and ninth rounds rolled around, it was obvious that Hatton needed a KO to win...and he just didn't have enough gas left in the tank.
Overall it was a pretty entertaining fight. However, once it reached the eighth, it was pretty easy to tell that Hatton was in serious trouble.

Are you a black American by any chance? Because that is the only group of people on Earth that wanted that egotistical twat to win. Even most of America was supporting Hatton from the pre-match reaction I saw.Fallschirmjager10 wrote:

Hatton put up a good fight in what was a higher weight catorgory than he is used to and he certainly didn't get "owned". To say that means you know sweet FA about boxing. Until the point deduction (which never was) I had him leading on points and the referee all but stopped Hatton carrying out his fight. As soon as they got close, he was prematurely seperating them which didn't allow Ricky to rough up mayweather and possibly prevent the later energy levels that Mayweather had. In fairness though Mayweather worked this to his advantage well, he dropped his head as soon as Hatton got close in and to his credit he stopped Ricky from getting any major hits in. Was Hatton beaten fairly, you have to say just about yes but did he "own" Hatton, no.
P.S. America, please learn how to be a "fan" because from what I saw you haven't got a clue! Learn a few songs and get behind your boxers. Your sports events must be as dull as dishwater with your mute crowds. Hatton only had 4000 fans there and they embarrassed the Mayweather "following" (if you can call it that).
