What terms on ms and contrast etc...are needed on LCD to play bf2, crysis, etc. (to play with clear view and no lag or paintboxes on screen)

Look for one with an <8ms response time.
Contrast ratio refers to the colors, I think. Bigger number is better.

you can play bf2 with a widescreen monitor, and everything but the HUD will be in proportions.
and yes, <8ms response time, and anything above 750contrast should look good, but then my 550cr samsung from 2 years ago has the best color of any of my monitors...go figure.
