How much would you pay for a WII?

I recently spent the morning from 2am to 8am waiting in line to get a wii, and sure enough i did, ive done this for the last two weekends and paid 262.50 for them at bestbuy, and resold one of them for 375, plus 40 for shipping (15 was the actual cost)....
So im just wondering whats the most you would spend if one of your beloved ones wanted one of this thins for christmas.

I got my Wii last January but I would probably pay up to $350 if I hadn't gotten one by now. It is amazing, in my opinion, that a product that has been on the market for a year has been in constant demand and continues to top the charts of sales. It's also amazing that Nintendo hasn't produced enough Wii's to meet the needs of the world.

First thing I would do is research how much shipping cost were from your zipcode to mine. Then add 10$ for handling (being generous). If you charged twice that I would send a report on it. Second thing is, I wouldnt buy a Wii on ebay right now, everyone has over inflated the price. There are those that just gotta have it, which is where supply and demand come in. If they are willing to pay the inflated price for it, more power to you. But ripping them on shipping is wrong and against ebay's rules.

Well orginally they hadn't planned on the excessive demand, now though they are sticking to their current production number until demnd starts to decline, as they planned on stockpiling supplies during the summer months for chirstmas season, but the crazy demand made that impossible.

I don't think they CAN produce more, without huge investment in production facilities. Nobody expected this kind of demand, or expected it to last like this. They probably can't believe it either, and daren't roll in their piles of money until they're sure it's actually REAL and not just a hallucination.

Yeah, that's what I've heard. They'd rather not spend money on making factories / production lines when eventually the demand will die down.

I waited 6.5 hours outside a best buy for mine, in the wind and rain, while it was 30 degrees....

Mmm. Worst part about the debacle of nobody seeing how successful the Wii could be is the lost potential for games.

Can you imagine how game devs are feeling right now seeing the Wii sell like this before Christmas, and they don't have a game to sell alongside it?

Somebody menioned it in a letter to hyper, it's quite probable that not even Ninty realises just what they are sitting on and what they could be doing with it.
