If you're focusing on the US, then why are you looking at Algeria's problems? You are mistaking what GWOT is (for the US, anyway)...it's global in nature, but against terrorist organizations that threaten US interests. AQIM (formerly GSPC) isn't currently threatening US interests.
So, in your opinion, it doesn't matter if they strike in Madrid or London, if you don't get hit.
To be fair Serge, Madrid and London brought it on themselves and the US holds no responsibility for that.

No, I don't blame the US, the blame falls on their governments.  But I want Feos to explain why he doesn't care if they strike London or Madrid.

I got a great idea after seeing reality and reading the fantasy crap that tends to get posted on forums - remember when you were a kid and someone picked on you; all you had to do when you seen them was act like you were invisible and nothing bad would happen.

Oh, "WOT" refers to a stance that governments were asked to take after 9/11 and prior acts of terror.  This meant that governments, individually and as partners with other nations, should take actions needed to prevent terrorist acts to protect innocent lives and property.  The term "WAR"
was meant to be inclusive of ALL options, not exclusive to military action - you dumb fucks you (while using his best Tony Soprano impression).

Perhaps it should be renamed the 'war for terror', seen as it has been so successful in ratcheting it up since some crony in Fox News HQ/The White House dreamed up the term.

My point is the whole argument Bush had with the War on Terror was curbing or ending terrorism and al-Qaeda or whoever did this are still doing it, just like it happened in Madrid or London.
And pls don't tell me "there weren't more attacks on US soil", that's pure coincidence.
Then why is the Algeria attack non-coincidental?
Because it's easier to attack Algeria?
Than the US and Europe?

Honestly, it seems like people get all pissy about it just because it has the word "war" in it. I'm gonna start calling it the "lets stop terrorism cuz it's wrong cause".

good idea. It's not a real war after all. It's just a term used to scare the living hell out of people ( = voters ) and to convince them that sending tens of thousands of their sons, fathers and brothers to some middle eastern shithole to die a meaningless death is necessary.

A new form of propaganda, if you will.

So if terrorist activity has been restricted to easy targets due to the War on Terror.....your argument the War's a failure?

Where's the coincidence again?

You aren't arguing to increase the war on terror because it's been effectively in lessening attacks in the West are you?

Just messing with you...

Sorry it's taken a while to respond. I see you were waiting patiently...

Actually, striking London or Spain does affect American interests. I never said it doesn't matter if they get hit, now did I?

How does it affect US interests? Look at what Spain did afterward. That's one small example of how it affects US interests.

It was actually Rumsfeld and his people that came up with the term. But damn fine attempt to lump Fox News into your theory...even though it was wrong.

The list is accurate. I was sketchy due to the fact it didn't cite sources. So I took the city names and dates and put them through the news feeds. They check out.

But yea, the site is edgy to say the least.

Nope. You will be rounded up by the grammar Nazis and put in a "re-education" facility until you properly comply with all the rules of the English language.
