I have been there.  It is a shithole.  Just like Africa.

If you've been there, but even that is your opinion. I bet there are people who can say positive things about the Middle East or Africa other than characterizing it as a shithole.

There are fanatics. Wouldn't be surprised if some Mormon killed his daughter for going out with someone at the age of 15 or something - fanatics=problems.
Can't categorize an entire religion by a couple of incidents.

Why do people have to take religion so damn seriously. It's all bullshit. They need to make an example out of this guy, deport him or something, to make sure the rest of the shit fucks don't do this. It's the only way.

Crazy people everywhere, not just in Canada... I remember, in last few months, reading few times about parents killing their children here in Austria. One mother actually did it because her daughter didnt want to eat vegetables ffs. What happened to grounding your kids

I'll concede that there are probably MORE religious-based killings like that over there.  But what's the difference?  Personally, the most heinous crime I've ever heard of came from Africa somewhere where a man with aids raped a small 2 month old baby repeatedly because it's common to do so because they think if you have sex with a virgin, it'll take your aids away.  Tell me there's religious crimes as equally heinous as that...not that it matters.

If you're referring to me, I'm not defending any religious groups.  I'm accusing marine of being bigoted towards the middle east and of muslims unjustly when there's just as bad things happening in our own neighborhoods.  Had the topic been about christian extremism and people were unfairly slanted towards hating them, I'd have easily said there's other religious groups outside [the area on topic] who do just as much or worse as the christians.

Also, I'm a Christian and I respect NO person more than another regardless of their religion, nationality, or belief set and I certainly don't try to elevate myself above others.  I actually and literally believe that every human on this planet is my literal brother and sister..this is why I'm against the warfare going on in my name (as an American).  It is also how i can have compassion on muslims who are very much hated on this forum and are ill-represented here (hence my perceived defense of them).
