I recently visited the bf2s channel on the "gamesurge" network. On arrival I noticed the number of people there. Under 30?!?!
I play a few games and they are all using Qnet to arrange wars, run pickup channels and also "community channels." With a small network like "gamesurge" people on Qnet wont join.
1. because of the hassle of running 2 open server connections.
2. because of the security aspects of joining an unknown server.
Why is there not a channel for bf2s on Qnet? It seems to me to be the obvious choice being the largest international gaming related irc network. You have channels there with full communitys of 300 orso people like #battlefield2 and they are providing no real service, other than the odd update, to the people playing the game.
With an awsome site like bf2s.com people would probably like to come together and have a chat, talk about the game, the website, compare stats etc. I would expect you could end up being one of the largest channels there.
Im just interested to see what everyone else thinks.
