Not to trade with someone in a better situation with you...but to make someone else's life better/allow them to live.

If so, what situation would drive you to that decision?

I have my own thoughts...I will wait for some additional responses before weighing in.

for someone I love, (I work as a Lifeguard) someone I was trying to save, trying to defend someone who is unable to defend themselves and my country, might add one or two more if i can think of them. but for now thats it

Yes. I wasn't in a fire fight in Cykla, Iraq for fun. I hope I made at least one persons life better. If not, at least I hope my actions may have saved the life of a fellow Marine so they could still be at home with their kids or something like that.

If my life or the accomplishments that I could make in life wouldn't do as much as sacrificing it to the greater good.

This sounds awfully dumb coming from someone that has never actually had their life on the line, but, well, I'm a very practical person, and try to downplay the value of my life as much as possible.
