BF2S Forums Paintball: How do you drain the air from a 20oz. tank?

I imagine you could use the disconnected C/A adapter from a gun.

I'd lean toward using the adapter, just doing it bit by bit, with two wrenches or something.  It'd be time-consuming, but probably safe enough, as it'd be about the same as shooting it all off in a marker.

There should be a pin in the middle of the nozzle on the tank.  If you push it down, the co2 will be released.  Use protection on your hands though, as it could give you frost bite.

Oh, and attaching it to your gun and shooting the hell out of it works too.  Its a little slower, but 10x funner.

Either that or if it has a valve on it you can empty it that way.

The other way would be to have it emptied before you fill it up.
There is two valves on a co2 rig.One for emptying and one for filling, just open the front valve and hey presto it empties.

Take the O-ring off of the CO2 tank, and then screw it onto the marker just enough to actuate the pin-nozzle.

Piece of cake.

Go buy an "on/off valve" for your tank. It will save you from leaking precious air when attaching/detaching your tank, and next time you need to empty it, it will be even easier to do.

Around 500-600 shots. I wouldn't recommend dry firing the paint marker that much as it only serves to wear away at the seals.

come on I'm being serious, I gotta fill up my tank, except that they won't fill it unless its empty, so I need a way to drain it w/o damaging the tank.

Lies. All tanks can be refilled at any level.

But if you must, press the purge valve at the top (that little metal pin inside the regulator) with some pliers or something.

screw it into your gun halfway so it leaks all the way out

paper clip, press down the pin
