Why does Harvard even charge tuition?

When its endowment investments total is $35 billion!!!!

Harvard University got some nice press this week by announcing it will reduce tuition for middle-class families. It already allows students whose parents earn less than $60,000 a year to attend Harvard free.

Don't know about Harvard, but Princeton doesn't ... all students go tuition free to Princeton for that very reason.

Harvard can suck my balls after it sucks yours. People who get into IVY Unis are there cause their rich parents. Only a small percentage actually deserve to be there.

Is there certain criteria one must meet to get in free? Cause I'm sure they don't want any random idiots coming in through a free ride.

Sure about that? My friend who applied there last year said it cost $45k pa.

Sure about that? My friend who applied there last year said it cost $45k pa.

Two reliable friends who just graduated from there told me that there is a tuition, but that everyone accepted gets a scholarship to cover the tuition. They came out with no student loans. I was surprised, but basically they said that the school is able to do this because the school has such a large portfolio.

Ivy league schools are what put the United States in conflicts like vietnam and iraq. I hope some of you know what I mean.
