Mor emodes would be nice. Quite frankly I don't understand why they're aren't. There is more than one mode in the console version of the game :S

team race? vehicles only? but i think this type of game does good keepin it real with just one "realistic" mode...

On that note, I do hate all the other game modes and would likely never play them. Although, I have a generalized hate for the console version so that may be why I don't like them.

You know what im votin for PUSH! i think ctf is cool but doesnt workon such a grand scalelike BF maps... i played ctf in bf1942... people dont even know theyre playing it half the time...its really boring when the maps are that big.. Push would give us tons of action!

Push is exactly what Joint Operation's Advance and Secure mode was like, and it was cool, some servers had no time limit and it had a day and night cycle. I played many a game on the Island map (can't remember the name) and it could seriously last an entire day before someone won. The day night cycle gave rise to some good tactics, like sunrise was a particularly good time for one side to make their advance across the large sea area, and sunset for the other as it was much harder to see incoming helicopters being blinded by the sun.

I think BF2 is awesome, graphics detail, and the ability to fully control the helicopters, and the addition of jets, but I really miss some of Joint Ops good points.

CTF would be cool but I've never played it, but it'd kind of give some purpose to defending bases and such.  But I guess it would be boring as hell on huge maps

I just want to play TKoth, but they need to remove the commander toys for that.

Yeah! that would be cool ! Like in Unreal Tournament 2004 Than you with 2 team bots had to fight against millions of waves of monsters.. soo cool!!

I agree 100%.  And I miss Joint Ops so much it huts...lol.

Hmm maybe a mission?? VIP? Objectieve : Like u must bring a Hummur full with gold out over the Irac line's.

Or like defend a objectieve like a brigde or something.! Hmm missions would be cool...

Or defend a boot (or ship) so the atacking team doesnt make i sink.. LIKE an MOC ship full or rockets and weapons that they try to bring to a secret location.. and the Americans must bring off the gold of the ship and bring to there BIG ship ( u know the ship of WAke) and if they got the gold back they must sink the ship...! And that between a time??

I voted push, but I want a squad deathmatch where you select your class and weapon(such as if I chose assault, I would pic weapons like the ak47, ak101, m16, scar-h(if it is a sf deathmatch), and the unlocks), select the vehicle you want(plus you can spawn in your vehicle and steal someone elses vehicle(if you get a chance to)), and also if you create a squad(max is 9) and invite people, those people are your only allies.

Ok maybe forget about picking a vehicle and deploy where you want it to spawn if destroyed and that you can spawn in it.

I think objective maps would be good. DC Weapons Bunkers (map for desert combat) was good. The US had to attack a compound with 3 bunkers in it and destroy the bunkers (took about 3 full loads of C4 placed inside to take one down), while the opposition had to defend the bunkers. This map lead to some very creative play and definitely required team work as going in solo left you little chance, likewise if the defenders didn't co-operate it was too easy for the US.

The only problem I can see with different game styles within BF2 is the stats system. It has been setup for the conquer mode and different modes would emphasize different stat areas (i.e. how many team points are you going to get in Deathmatch). IIRC they were going to have objective maps in BF2 such as defending a bridge and preventing the opposition from crossing but it appears to have been canned.

Capture the Flag? like in deathmatch games? what type of battle in the history of sticks had any type of this type of gameplay???

out of these Push is the only one that makes sense and the one that should have been applied to huge maps like Zatar Wetlands from the beginning

Ah yes, playing Omaha Beach on DC final with me and a friend on a LAN againts 60 bots.
