If confidence is your problem then you should only really ask her out when in a blitzing mood, but not a hyper mood. This will make you feel... happier
and you're more likely to go through with it. Also, you'll come over better. Don't think about what you'll say too much before you say it, otherwise you'll mix it all up, and then you just look like a babbling bafoon.
Body language is important too, pick a bright spot, and keep your arms away from your other arms, with your palms turned generally in her direction. Smile, but not too much. Try to relax your face, so you don't crease up as much. Make it so that neither of you are looking into the sun, so you don't have to squint to see each other.
I find exercising helps me feel good, so maybe ask her after P.E, but then again, your hair'd be messed
Make sure you look as good as you can, without going over the top. Also, all these other tips are good, but yeah, a movie is a waste of time (Costs a bit too!
)
How old are you? How much money do you have to spend on a first date?
More advice when these questions are answered
EDIT: Calling her may sound a bit desperate, just ask her when she's back in School.
