It is worth unlocking your iPod Touch using iJailbreak? You get to install any 3rd party applications onto your iPod, but if it messes up does it void warranty? I'm wondering whether to do this or not when I get mine.
I assume it would void the warranty (and make it difficult to get the battery changed should it die)Klinka-Klinko wrote:

Yes, it voids your warranty. Fact. Also, its been known not to work for everyone.
Ah, ok. Thank you.
I know that the Dev Team have used it on numerous iPhones and iPod Touches and it has worked fine, and both my brother and friend have done it themselves fine.
Also, warranty wise, Apple will still replace it Believe me, I have personal experience in the field and I've seen it be done! Hell, my brother broke his iPhone (using a not-built-for-iPhone RoadTrip device) and Apple, despite knowing it was unlocked, replaced it willingly
I'd just do it if I were you. The results are outstanding!
