Hey all, First post on the forums but I wanted to put up my idea about actual sea warfare similar to BF1942 (pardon me if someone else already mentioned this).

The thing that I think would really make this idea would be undersea warfare.  Subs launching seals in DSRVs to attack underwater assets such as research labs or something like that.  Could have airlocks.  I think it would add an aspect to the game that would give it more perspective.  Hell, you could also do the space warfare if ya wanted but that gets abit more on the sci-fi side of the house.  Let me knwo what ya all think about this.  Thanks

What would you like to see? this implemented in BF2 or a new game?
Would be great - but could it be pulled off?

Besides - would probably come with a new set of bugs/glitches etc.

i bet the APCs would float out to the middle of the friggin ocean and attack the subs. i hate apcs when they do that.

i wish you could sink the air craft carriers.

Yeah anything new would have problems.  The biggest problem I see it having is the zero plane ea has on the water line.  That there might "sink" this idea.

How about just larger scale warfare all together, like Joint Operations?  Not much underwater stuff there, but the gunboats are pretty fun.

The maps in BF2 do need to be bigger though.  Especially with jets.  I think the whole idea behind scaling the number of capture points based on the number of players was a way to keep the battle intense.  Something that is a problem in JO.  But with BF2 you have the VOIP, the Commander, and spawning on your squad leader.  All things that make huge JO-like maps much more feasible.
