I was 16 since March. I have to wait until next year to get a permit. Been practicing with my dad in the meantime, but going into first gear is bloddy hell annoying.

In NY we can only get our learners permit at 16. This means that there must be a licensed driver over 21 in the passenger seat when you drive and you cannot drive out of state. We can get out full license at 18, 17 if we take drivers education classes.
