I saw 3 teens in a charger take on a corvette being driven by an older man and they got smoked trying to race the corvette

I've yet to see one stop at a stop sign, signal, or even know what the fuck they are doing..
I remember driving down I-5 when it was raining outside, no one knew what the fuck they were doing, they were still doing like 20 + the speed limit..
I swear, every Mile I saw a car into the wall, I think I saw 2 semis on there sides in the stretch of like 5 minutes.. quite funny..
Not saying people can drive much better around here, but California is definetly worse..
My friend got into an accident because some Asian lady pulled out from stopping at the side of the road without even fucking looking..
Its not myself I don't trust, its all the other idiots on the road..
Damn scary here.
Asian drivers.
can i say fuck man you have a damn good sense of humour lolz.
and yeah i think just because your only 16 doesnt mean shit.. you can be 12 and still know what people are doing wrong... ive been driving for 6-7 years.. had my license suspended once and had an accident. just queitly im a street racer and dont do anything stupid in populated areas... but through those expereinces i think im better for it. I know exactly where you are coming from man... good luck with keeping your record clean...

i once hit a drunk idiot with my car. but it wasn't my fault. the guy had to pay for having damaged my car. he had a bal of 2,6.
Fuckin-oath @ op
And people wonder why road rage is up 400% ish in most places, some people just can't drive and they want to show you how they do it.

Lol some people don't drive bad on purpose.
My friend's mum is absolutely shocking, she takes huge U-turns blocking the whole road for a few seconds, accelerates aggressively and everything but its not like she's trying to do it. Some people are just genuinely bad at driving.
I for one blame the government for letting people like this get their licenses. Surely they could have a higher standard?
I'm in Australia by the way. Could be different to where some of you come from

I just think they should make it so people should have to take a road test every 5-10 years, just to make sure they know all the rules and stuff..

ahh so you are all spoiled
there's a difference between having more money than the usual person and being spoiled. when you get whatever you want, when you want it, you're spoiled. when your parents bring in 500 grand a year and can afford to get your a car that costs more than 500 dollars, and they choose to do so, you're just lucky. its the fuckers who drive brand new BMWs on daddy's 30,000 a year that are spoiled.
but if you want to go that route, then you're spoiled as fuck. you live in a western nation, right? well what about somebody in iraq? to them, you're spoiled because you have money and live in a 1st world country.
anyways, when you really get down to it, its subjective. you and i live in completely different places, each having its own subculture. if you live in midwest america, for example, your parents might firmly believe that you should buy everything you own. if you live in california, your parents might believe that as long as you stay out of trouble and have good grades, they'll buy you a car. how much they choose to spend is up to them.
I'll agree though, anybody with a car that costs more than 15,000 grand, regardless of how much money their parents have, is spoiled. because lets face it, if you're going to buy your kid a car, especially in a place like California, you're probably going to make sure its safe. and safe usually means fairly new, no more than around 4-5 years old.
I r drive good.
i agree. the purpose of this post was not to discount myths about who drives better than who, or make myself seem like god. it was merely to point out the dumb things i've seen people do. do i make some of these mistakes? certainly. nobody is perfect, but when you're trying to better yourself, its nice to know what other people have noticed makes driving more annoying and painful.topthrill05 wrote:
Funny how everyone says that they drive with idiots. My logic is that we all make mistakes behind the wheel. Sure people do stupid things and hell that means you to. It just so happens that you see that persons mistake, that does not make them an idiot. Sorry your wrong, when you drive among thousands of people in a givin day you are bound to see something. Lets try and stop generalizing things like a bunch of tards.
@stryyker, yeah, i'm from the valley.
@desert, yeah, thats fine. i'm talking about people who, in, say a 1 mile 40mph stretch take over half that distance to accelerate. they DO exist, and its frustrating.
@brimstone: thanks.
@koala, you have an opinion, and thats fine. but you should read everything i wrote. i haven't stalled since i first learned, but I've seen other people do it and people get mad. also, when somebody steals your lane during a left turn, its like this:
______ | |
______
each line is a left turn lane. if I'm in the highest line, and we leave at the same time, and you decide, mid turn, to try to occupy my lane, as I'm in it, you're going to hit me, and we're going to crash. its not about being late, its about not getting hurt or dying.

I agree with a lot of what the OP posted. Got some chuckles from it too. However, around my area, it seems its the damn cotton heads that are the offenders. There is a posted maximum and minimum speed limit on the highway. If you are going to do the minimum, or under it, keep your ass in the far right lane, not in the middle or left lanes. When merging on the highway you have a yield sign. It is not pointed at the traffic on the highway, it is pointed at you, you f'n moron. It means that you have to wait for the traffic to change lanes and let you in, completely pass you by, or you better run like a bat outta hell and merge in properly. I also believe that once you reach a certain age, I dunno 55ish, you ought to have to take the driving test every two years to make sure you can still operate a vehicle. There is almost nothing worse than an old person that can barely see over the steering wheel cutting people off, going slower than molasses in January, and generally being a hazard on the road.
Yes, I did.Ender2309 wrote:

And buying a teen driver an overly nice car makes the parents stupid, in addition to the kid spoiled (although I think the kid getting the BMW on 30,000 a year isn't spoiled, just the victim of no common sense). Sure, get one with good safety features, but teens don't drive well enough (and especially rich teens who already suffer from a superiority complex.)
@Lt.Victim: Brilliant idea...I have been thinking this. It would give parents major incentive to drive properly, and would benefit the safety of others.

I thought everyone knew we either walk in our snowshoes or get a lift on Tanuk's dogsled.
EDIT: And BTW, I agree with the OP. The younger drivers are alot better than everyone else from what I've seen.
Their mouths are slightly different. Examples below:Winston_Churchill wrote:

I dont even notice bad driving anymore
-people merging onto a clear freeway @45mph
-people afraid to pass semi trucks
-semi trucks trying to pass each other on grades
-5th wheels and motorhomes, in general, are rolling death
-people who wait to the very last second in merge lanes-there's actually a spot where i can occasionally prevent people from merging into a north bound freeway entrance, they're stuck in the south bound entrance with no turn around for about 15 miles down the freeway.
-people who must stay in the left lane going at least 5mph below the limit becuase in 5 miles they have to get into a left turn lane.-i'm forced to pass people on the right every day.
-people who think i want to race their firebird at every stoplight.-just as many responsible adults as kids. and I'm only driving an s2000, not a viper.
-women driving trucks-they can't
-and cops are never around when you need them.

I'm nervous to learn how to drive, I have a looming feeling I'll just crash into something.
Then again, being a pedestrian in a sea of retards driving 3,000lb vehicles isn't much more comforting.

then get yourself a big old tank of a car, that's cheap and don't go 80 you'll be fine. some minor fuck ups and it wont even hurt the car.Hurricane wrote:

i started driving a 1977 olds 98. not a chick magnet but surviving was more important. that was a gas guzzling machine but held the road like a tank and never had to worry about hurting it. it pisses me off to see these teenes driving there car that daddy bought them like and idiot and then end up crashing only to get another and think nothing of it.
