Really? Alright, alright, I'll admit I was wrong. Disregard what I said that has to do with our locations.
I'll go further to ad that it was stictly LA county area that has the terrible drivers (and the stats) but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and stop assuming.

Sorry.

There´s a reason the youngster have a very expensive insurance for their car. Those numbers don´t lie.

actually pirana, i have it very good in life, and parents made damn sure i knew it growing up. and like i said before, the point wasn't that i was better than anybody else, this was list of things i've noticed people do that has almost caused myself, my mother, my friends, my father, others, etc. accidents, or actually did get them into them.

and i do live in california, also previously stated in this thread.

and like i said, its possible that I'm smarter, but i have no idea who you are or anything about you, which is why it would be stupid for me to say i was. my point was merely that just because somebody is younger than you doesn't mean they don't know anything or are automatically worse than you at something. if you're a good driver, there's no reason to get pissed at what i've said, because you do know that most of it is unobjectionably correct, and while some of it may be my opinion, most of it is general road safety.

i also make a point to never go more than 5 over the posted limit, and thats only when i'm really in a bind. if i don't know the limit, i assume its 35 its its a single lane with a suicide lane, 40 for a double w/suicide.

about my car: well, my dad was planning on getting me something a hell of a lot cheaper, but he had just sold his corvette ZO6 and was having second thoughts, saw this car used at a dealership going for 5 grand less than usual, and decided not to pass. when he told me he was getting me a car, i asked for two things, if possible: a stick shift, and something with a CD changer, so i wouldnt have to dick around with CDs while driving.

and you're right about the maturity of the post. i've been having a shitty day and took it out on you, because i was angry about the way some people were treating me in the thread. i apologize for that.
Damn, I was all ready to rip into you and get banned. Now you've gone and done this and not made me hate you.
Whatever, +1.

actually, they do. i know more girls than boys who have caused accidents, but more boys get speeding tickets. its the tickets they jack up the insurance about, even though speeding doesn't necessarily cause accidents (but it does cause them).

@pirana, lol, thanks for the karma, and again, sorry.

There´s more people in the world than you, just cause the reality does´nt match your world don´t make it false. Those insurances are based on statistic. Young Men are waaay over presented in accidents that´s a fact not a wild guess.

Of course there are exceptions but overall youngsters are by far worse drivers.

Edit: Tickets they base Insurance on? well.. i´m not from America but here it´s sure as hell is the accidents that the insurance company looks at why on earth would they care if you get a ticket? that does´nt cost them anything. It´s about money.

@nuk, i actually meant the central valley, but where i live (fresno), it might as well be san fernando. we've grown over 200,000 people in the last few years. its nuts. they've been adding and expanding roads but its just not enough.
I hate it when you people drop the "Central" from your "Valley".  If you say "The Valley", everyone in the US thinks of one place, and it certainly isn't your cattle country.

I'm curious, what does one do in Fresno that allows them to make over $500,000 a year?  I nearly can't fathom this, since the rest of us considers the Central Valley to be California's armpit.

fair enough, and that is true. on a world scale, yeah, i bet kids are worse, but thats no reason to write a kid off as an automatic bad driver. i know some that are incredibly good, and some that are so horrible i don't even like being in the same parking lot as them.

yeah, its all about the fucking money. its all insurance cares about. some companies here even jack up the cost when you're in an accident that SOMEBODY ELSE caused. its insane.

I admit i've made mistakes driving. I've only been driving for 2 years. I was like the kid who started this thread fresh out of driving school knew the rules. But I slowly stopped doing some of the more imo pointless ones like putting your blinker on 3 house lengths before turning. Now I just check the rear view and make sure he's not on my ass to put it on. Anyways the only type of driver that really pisses me off is Teenage Girls wow do they not know how to drive. They've almost caused me about 4-5 accidents just not paying attention I had one that didn't check her blind spot and I almost fish tailed her. Then they look at you like you it was your fault and you had to get out of their way. Pisses me off so much.

its pretty obvious (i thought), considering its like half the area of California, but duly noted and filed away for later.

i never said anybody makes that much, but the people who own the large shopping centers, the malls, some of the bigger doctors, etc. are all pretty fucking rich. and you can live anywhere to trade stocks.
