Since it is debate, then I see a "derailment attempt" as worthy of debate as the OP.

The very action of posting in D&ST implies that people will not agree with your opinions an/or ideas. It seems a bit more testicular to deal with it and move on, rather than ask Mom to make the other kids play nice.
