I work at Waitrose (a supermarket) which pays pretty well. (I'm 18).

The best bit is - because the company is a partnership the profit of the whole of the company is shared amongst all employees. So if Waitrose makes 20% profit I will get around 18% of my total earnings in that year as a lump sum! excellent!

in the summers i work at a golf course. easy as shit. drive around a cart all day.

in the winter i work at my dads law firm, i sit on the computer and enter in time sheets for people. easy as shit also.

I am 18 and i find it impossible to find some work that isn't a "slave-job" e.g. "beeping" goods at the local supermarket or cutting fish at the harbor..

so far i have ½ a what you could call college education in trade/marketing... I've only found one job that was usefull and it was 100km away that was translating danish business letters into English for an IT company, which could be partially done from home... (note my 12 writing and 12 verbal in english) (thats A+ in US grades)

Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me

Currently 16, took a £1000 loan to open up a proven successful internet business. Getting it started now, hope to see some initial results in the next few weeks. Currently doing a bit of telephone support with the guy who creates them and sells them (very helpful guy...proven success) - can't wait to see the turn out!

You can do anything! Do what you like, get the qualifications you need (if any) and start young. If you want to open a business, do it soon! Most guys end up thinking they want to do it at 18-19, but don't make the move until even their 30s when the fact is, they wasted 10+ years of their life. I plan on not making the same mistake.

It actually gets better with time if kept in the right environment. It's very similar to wine that way. The only things that destroy it are sunlight, mold and erosion. At least that's what I hear from those drug user guys Keep it dry, keep it safe.
