need advice for new game

So, its almost midnight here and im really bored. I will probably go eat something then go play bf2 again, just like i do it since i start playing. But right i'd like to go play another game, but no FPS. Maybe a strategy game or adventure i dont know, but anything else than bf2. What do you guys would recommand me to go "buy" a single player only game.

To help you, here some specs of my computer:

Athlon 64 3500+ @ 2200 MHz
2048MB RAM
320 GB SATA2
ATI Radeon x1950xtx PCI-E 512MB DDR4 CrossFire Edition
SB X-Fi Audio
Windows XP Professional SP2

New games such as Model of Honor:Airborn dont work on my computer. I did not tried demos like Crisis or CoD4 because im not if my computer would run them. So thanks for your advices guys

i used to hate it, always prefered warcraft2 from blizzard.

EDIT: if you wanna get the AI versions...you need to go on their forums, register and go to some obscure subforum...but i found it

url? you mean screenie? its basically...you choose a hero from a really big list, and the whole point is to get to the enemies base and destroy their flag thingy
frozen throne for horde
world tree for alliance
and theres NPCs constantly spawning from each side...and defense towers

if you say so...but basically...yeah

My choice would be Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War. And if possible the two expansions Winter Assault & Dark Crusade. It's a RTS based in the Warhammer 40K universe (go figure). Extremely good gameplay if you patch the original or get Dark Crusade (Otherwise there is some balance issues). And no, you don't need to have played Warhammer 40k in real life to play this.

Runner up for best strategy game of 04 and best expansion in 05 for WA and 06 for DC. Highly rated.

I'v had this game since it came out and i'm still playing it. Probably because when you have the two expansion packs there are 7 playable races. And there is a new expansion pack coming in 2008 as well to push it up to 9 playable races

If you want an awesome adventure/platform game then i would suggest "Psychonauts". The game is extremely good.

And Warhammer 40K Platinum (Dawn of War + Winter Assault & Dark Crusade), despite the slightly older graphics, is actually an excellent game with great balance, particularly with the DC Pro mod. Good feel to it, and the units have personality.
