Season 4 premieres Thursday, January 31st. Here's a new ad.

Words cannot describe how fucking pumped I am. Jeremy Davies plays one of the new characters.. you can see him briefly in the ad above. He played the dorky corporal in Saving Pvt. Ryan. He looks so damn creepy in his new role. They've also cast a whole bunch of new (and old) actors.

Needless to say, don't fucking miss it!

Yeah, oh well. I heard they were writing Episode 8 RIGHT BEFORE the strike went on, so they end of Season 8 has a semi-major cliffhanger that should keep us satisfied until the rest of them can be made...

They might make S4 a mini season of 8 and Season 5 will have 24? Who knows? It all depends on what happens with the strike.

"Saving your people? .... can't really say that was our primary objective..."

I would gouge out one of my eyes just to see the first episode right now.

I don't think we do, correct me if I'm wrong but last season they decided to put the season on pause for a few weeks so the brits could catch up. I think it has something to do with piracy and the channel that was broadcasting it didn't have as many viewers because we could DL it long before it was televised in England. SOO i think we get it at the same time. End of Jan

Well, watching them on DVD helps out a LOT. I didnt get into this show until this spring, and I watched about half of season 3 online, and didnt really notice anything different. Then when I started watching it on TV, I was still pumped, but it just moved a lot slower than it seemed to on DVD.

Each season has its own themes though. Pacing changes, too. I guess if there's a certain number of eps without a major mindfuck it tends to get a little slow. But the show really picked up at the end of S3 and TBH I kind of like season 3 more than season 1. Its a much more bumpy ride... it does kind of lose direction.. but it comes out being better than ever, plus, you've got to remember, they weren't sure how many more episodes they had to finish the series until the end of S3. I think the writers did the best they could, given the situation.

Lost isn't perfect, but I think its by far the best damn TV ever made. It tops most movies I've seen as well...

Have I missed something? Or is the part in the last episode of the last series like wayyy in the future. Where they are actually not on the island anymore. Or is this season going to be that they crashed again and got back on the island?
This is confusing. As for the series, it got crap after they introduced a polar bear. Yet I still watched it.

The end of season 3 was a flashforward. There is a lot of stuff that happens between the flashforward and what takes place on the island at the end of season 3. Yes, the future part was waaaaay in the future.

So yes, some of them get off the island. But we have not seen them actually getting off, from the "now" timeline. The episode didnt take place in the future, it was a flashforward. In other words, we have not actually seen the new people coming to the island, we have not seen people getting "rescued". It'd totally suck to just completely skip that part.

Season 4's going to feature more flashforwards of them off the island. In the "present", they do not know who or what is coming to them. Hope that clears things up.
