nice, I hope it´s as entertaining as the LOTR movies... I dont care if Jackson sticks to all details...

and they totally left out the part where Frodo fucks Galadriel when they meet in the glade after dark (this was implied in the book by the style of writing).

If he thought it would be anti-climatic, then how come he had several extra-long fade-outs? People were leaving the theatre, thinking it was over. The whole point was that even with the destruction of the ring, Middle Earth's troubles weren't over. Aragorn's west continued to war with the east, the elves were leaving, a bunch of dwarves were dead, the remains of Sauron fled to another location to begin another long buildup and Saruman invaded the Shire.XxRavenxX wrote:

edit: the reason the scouring of the shire was left out was because the bit PJ was focusing on was the destruction of the ring, and he thought it would be anti-climatic to have the ring destroyed then do the whole shire thing. (yay for special features)
And the Balrog wasn't completely owned.
Neither do I...just no more Arwen-like character intros. Made Frodo look like a complete wuss.Slayer wrote:

It would be nice if they could get some of the same actors too. Gandalf just wouldn't be the same if it were someone else...

I'm pretty sure Ian McKellen had Peter Jackson's blessing to be Gandalf in the Hobbit, should it ever be made, after LoTR.OmniDeath wrote:
