all the ones ive seen are from the 80s where their visions for the future are crappy square cars and smokey tubes connecting crappy useless devices together.

im sure there have been newer movies set in a post apocalyptic environment. any good ones?

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. Its very old but "On the Beach" is one of the best post apocalyptic movies you'll ever see.

Or maybe Bladerunner, the newest version Final Cut is just out now (In Ireland anyway) sort of making it a new movie!
