So. This program im trying to get working reads the data it needs off of 10 disks. It only needs them when the info it seeks is on 1 of the disks.

Now, on my gaming computer its all working just fine.

But on the computer i actually need it on, its not reading certain disks!

When the program asks for info off of disk 1, it works fine, but the other 9 disks arent being read. But i know it isnt the disks because my gaming comp reads them just fine.

Its a problem with the comp itself, because it refuses to even say theres a disk in the drive. Any idea why it wouldn't be reading certain disks, even though they should be all readable the same way.

thanks

Dodgy disks.
Use better ones.

Or get a better optical drive.

Something must be wrong with the CD drive then.  You could try disconnecting and reconnecting it.  I don't think there's much you can do for a faulty CD drive.  The good thing is they're cheap and easy to replace.

turns out it was because the old drive couldnt read DUAL LAYER DVD's, only regular dvds.

time to buy a new one.
