That would be fine by me. They're the ones who are liable. If you haven't signed for it, then you haven't received it, which means if someone does grab it, they have to send you a new one (the reseller will do all the work for you). I've done that a few times - most of those times I was the one who grabbed it, but that makes no difference, if you haven't signed for it, you're not liable, they are.Hurricane wrote:

edit: I do hate it when they leave that note on the door saying "lol sux2bu" but it's better than them leaving what could be worth lots of money in plain view for anyone to grab.
I've never encountered delivery companies not ringing the bell.

good thing for me is that i'm only a few miles away from the distro center, so i'm always on the back end of the circuit. i get my packages no earlier than 6 pm, and no later than 730.

I need to ask the OP a question. So you are saying this Fedex guy came to your door, stood there staring at the wall just waiting, then, when nothing happened he took your package and left?
Or, whats going on here? Did he leave it and the package got stolen? Because, there is no way in hell the first scenario is right. Your wife/girlfriend just didn't hear the doorbell ring or the knock on the door. And he couldn't leave the package. So he left. Blame the girl.
