I'm getting one or the other, my instinct tells me "Duo E6850 Conroe 3.0GHz" but I wanted to get some feedback. Both are same price.

the quad will easily clock to 3.0GHz; it's a great processor. Get that
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Q6600. Games like BF2, or even CoD4 don't use Quad power but the difference from Crysis with a E6600 and a Q6600 are too big too compare, meaning games will be optimized for quad proccesors next year.

Instinct tells you wrong.

The Q6600 will last longer.

Guess I never though of that, probably would do so with no effort/risk
