National ID card, all identifying features recorded. Then for "convenience" we'll have all that info along with financial access fed into a chip injected under the skin. Very very easy to track people. Scary? You decide.

Edit:
This is ridiculous.

The FBI will also retain, upon request by employers, the fingerprints of employees who have undergone criminal background checks so the employers can be notified if employees have brushes with the law.

On the one hand, I'd like a National ID card system. On the other hand, with so many biometrics being gathered by the government, this really is a fucked up Big Brother scheme.

It looks like the conspiracy theorists were right on this one....

yeah im with turquoise in the aspect of one huge big brother scheme however if any one in the database does fuck up and commit a crime they will be so much easier to catch with the fingerprinting and iris scan.
