I don't know how many high school seniors there are but where are you going? (or if you're in college... where are you going?)

So far I've applied to

University of Oregon Honors College (accepted.. there were like <200 accepted this year anywhere from $600-6000 scholarship/year)
Oregon State University Honors College (accepted relatively small acceptance rate as well)
Willamette (accepted... $15,000 scholarship/year)
Gonzaga (accepted... $8,000 scholarship/year)
University of Portland (accepted... ~ $14,000 scholarship/year)
Tulane (accepted... $24,000 scholarship/year)
University of San Diego (still reviewing my application.)

I still have to apply to Occidental and possibly Whitman...

Anybody else hear anything?

Whoa man! Come to the UofO!
I kinda go there, as in, not this term, but I WILL.
I know you're in P-town, so that's not far away, and maybe you wanna go far away...
but the honors college is pretty damn cool. Plus, how can you resist those football uniforms?

edit: and I have a couple buddies who go to Whitman. Great school.

haha sweet! I'm actually really thinking about U of O... From what I hear the honors college is really good and it's not in Louisiana.. plus I won't have to pay near as much as some of the other schools so I can keep buying computer junk..

The only catch is that Tulane has it's own Med-school... and it's really hard to get into med school these days so that'd give me a little help.

Interesting, Occidental is one of the colleges I'm applying to.

I've applied to four UCs - Los Angeles, Irvine, Berkeley, and San Diego. Aside from Occidental, I'm applying to a few more, most of them within CA (Others include a few Ivy League. I doubt I'll get in, but it doesn't hurt to try. ).

On a side note, I got guaranteed admission to UCI as long as I applied there. So I'm quite happy. But I'm still aiming for UCLA.

Depends on what type of campus you like. UTD was originally a training facility for Texas Instrument employees (I think) and then it was a grad school, then full on university. The campus is very...simple. There aren't really any history/artistic buildings at all.

If you decide to live on campus, you live in 4 room apartments. The only downside to this is that there is a noticeable lack of community between fellow building-mates. Pretty much everyone goes to their apartment and does their own thing. For me, that suites me just fine.

UTD does have one of the best schools for Computer Science and it is also know for its Chemistry department. (General Chemistry I & II btw are difficult as fuck).

I am currently studying Neuroscience but I'm not sure I can continue with that.

I did a internship over there last summer, seemed like a nice campus. The professor I worked with teaches Cosmology, he was a good teacher (got teacher of the year or something like that) for a tough subject, I would recommend the class if you're into that sort of thing.

The study of the Universe basically. Heavy physics and calculus.

Physical Cosmology in that article.

Lucky you.  In Australia we more or less get a choice of 2 unis per state, and if you want to apply interstate there are really only 2 or 3 others worth going to.

Purdue University- that's all I can do besides IU basically because it's expensive to go out of state or to a private school like Notre Dame. Money is the big deal but I got a rather large scholarship. It certainly would help out a lot to be rich.
