Im saying you shouldnt minimize the situation because that will cause kids to think gettting pregnant at a young age isnt a big deal.konfusion wrote:
To point #1: Promoting sex at a young age puts a lot of pressure on kids. And makes them do stupid things they eventually regret.Masterstyle wrote:
Its alright for kids to have sex but you shouldnt promote it, especially when its with teens because thats what leads to teenage pregnancies.
Give them Sexual Education classes so they will know the positives and negatives of having sex
on another topic with Jaime Lynn Spears. That sex was between a minor and adult techinically not only that but she got pregnant by him. They should concentrate on raising the child but I dont think you should defend them by saying they should just get past it and raise the child that will just make it look ok to other teenagers that getting pregnant isnt a big deal.
Point #2: You lost me at "but I don't think you should defend..."
He should have known better, if her not also.

I think its more of the individual teens fault. They know what their getting into. If you get pregnant, deal with it bitch.
I beleave teen are becoming more sexualy active at a much younger age today. Teens seem to develop much younger too and i think this is were the parents go wrong beacause they are not teaching sex ed comdoms pill ect at an early enough age plus the morals involed in having sex. I know when i was a teen (only a couple years ago) i would nether go near any of the girls that was putting it about then cos it makes me feel sick to sleep with a women with more knochs in the bed post then i at that age.
To be frank, it isn't a big deal in certain areas. Teen pregnancy is a pretty common thing in certain places.Masterstyle wrote:

Granted, I think we agree that it is something that we should work towards preventing. Sex ed and easy access to contraceptives seem like the solution.
Yeah. But if they don't have a family to keep them normal they will fall deep.eusgen wrote:

Thats the point. I was just saying that you have no idea if there actually is or isn't a problem with you. You don't perceive one, but that in no way dictates whether you do or don't.Little BaBy JESUS wrote:

White trash white trash

having a child at a young age is stupid. at the Elementary school my sister teaches, there are children in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade that are already pregnant. they are stupid Mexicans who can not speak English. there was one girl who was 15 and still in the 3rd grade on her 2nd CHILD. i couldn't believe what i was seeing. they "parents" could only say how great America is and they get free money for more children and they do not want there kids to pass 5th grade. pretty sad.
teens are stupid idiots who need to be put in there places. life isn't a game. some treat it as one, and they ruin life's. who wants to be the children of those teens? i would commit suicide if i was Brittany spears or the lil sister spears kid. think of what your doing before you do it an for the love of god take responsibility for your actions. no one does that anymore.

It's a stupid decision, one they shouldn't have made with a reasonable education on the topic. A portion of those same idiots don't know how to raise a kid, aren't motivated enough to find out how and all they know is "Ish mah babeh and I noe haow to raish id!" like some bullshit maternal instinct.eusgen wrote:

All their going to end up doing is raising another poor depraved kid who winds up in the same situation.
*cough* ... Abstinence-only sex education.genius_man16 wrote:
It's the kids fault for being stupid about condoms or whatever

We should promote better sex education in high school.
What if the condom fails and they cannot afford the Day-After pill?
It is a combination of both parents and teens fault.Raphi wrote:

Heres my question, Do you think....
A)Its the Parents Fault because of parenting(Please explain why)
B)Or do you think its the Teens fault because of Morals(Please explain)
C)Other Opinions
I am a kid myself, (14 years old) and a few of my class had sex already. Basicially I think it's shit, but if you really want to fail at life, go for it.
I guess they have to deal with the consequences.
1. No amount of parenting will stiffle the natural urges of teenagers. However they should be informing them of the consequences of their actions. They should be talking candidly about the spread of STDs and the reponsibilities of parenthood. Almost to the point of scaring the shit outta them.
2. The teens are well informed enough to understand the consequences of their actions, even without parental guidance. The thing is, with Spears, she is probably more finacially able to bare the responsibility of child raising more than any of us. With the help and guidance of all that surround her, her kid could actually have a chance.
You can't avoid it, it's sex all around you, think MTV..
If teens are becoming more active at a younger age then how come I haven't got any?

Pregnancy is a big deal especially at a young age, you are brining another human into the world that you have to be responsible for. I think that is a big deal.Turquoise wrote:

Well..at first I don't understand teens having sex in 14-16. That's not about morals (what morals? watch the TV! everything there is f---ing) I just think having sex means your childhood is over but you are not an adult yet. I can say I had a happy childhood - I played football , attended painting school etc. and when I had sex for the first time I knew everything I had to know (long live the Internet lol) to do it and everything was ok. IMO today sex+total stupidness everywhere=stupid teens. Shit, they are our future. As for the prevention, most pills are not recommended for young girls as they can cause some problems in the future, and the faster a pill works, the worse it is for health.
So for the young condoms are the best solution. They can fail mostly when you have sex so often that you need a Support to resupply them
