Lucky you.  In Australia we more or less get a choice of 2 unis per state, and if you want to apply interstate there are really only 2 or 3 others worth going to.
And we don't get accepted into lots and then choose. UAC (University Admissions Centre) gets 9 course preferences, which include the university, off you. Based on your UAI (university admissions index), they just give you the first one you can get into.

As for me, next year I'll be doing Civil Engineering @ the University of New South Wales. UAC hasen't given out places on courses yet, but I got a UAI of 93.75 and only needed 88. A guy at the uni said the course never fills by the cutoff, so I'm easily in.

I'm a junior in high school, but I'm applying to FSU (Florida State University), UF (University of Florida), UCF (University of Central Florida), and FIT (Florida Institute of Technology) next year.  I want to go to University of Florida, but they're Nazi's when it comes to accepting admissions.  I currently have a 4.0 GPA w/ a shitty 1240/1600 SAT (gonna retake) and 31/36 ACT, so I think I should be able to get accepted.  The ACT score allows me to apply for a 100% scholarship for any Florida school called Bright Futures, which is kickass.

I'm still a sophomore, but I'm gonna apply to:

United States Air Force Academy
Florida Institute of Technology
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
University of Vermont

I haven't really thought past those 4 yet. FIT/E-R are my main focuses.
