EDIT: http://vixy.net/
The other day I was trying to find out how to get youtube videos onto my phone.
I searched bf2s first and couldn't find anything.
So after I found out how to it I've decided to make my own guide.
Before you do this you obviously need enough space on your Hard Drive for the programs and the videos
You also need enough free space on your phone/iPod/memory card
Firstly you need Firefox (if you don't already have it)
Then you need the video downloader add-on.
And the final program you need is the SUPER converter.
note: all of these programs are legally free to download full versions from the makerrs websites. Nothing needs to be cracked or pirated
Once you have installed and downloaded everything you need to find a youtube (or other video downloader supported site)
Lets say we wanted to get this 300 drop kick video onto our phone.
Once you are at the youtube site left click the video downloader icon at the bottom right of the firefox window.
Then when the new window comes up right click on the download link box (I know it says left click but do what works for you) and click save link as. It will come as "get_video.htm" You want to change that to *.flv (change the asterisk to whatever you want it to be called e.g "300 drop kick.flv")
Once it has been saved to the desired folder you want to open the SUPER converter.
Before you convert anything right click anywhere in the middle of the window and select 'Output file saving management' and browse to where you want your converted files to be saved.
Once that has been done select what file type you want the finished file to be saved as using the drop-down menu in the top left. It says what the file types are for but you might also want to consult This Table
For this example I selected .3gp to go onto my Sony Walkman phone.
After you have done that open the folder containing the flv file using windows explorer and drag into the box near the bottom of the window.
Then all you have to do is hit Encode and wait until it finishes.
To get it onto your phone/ipod use the appropriate software or whatever you normally use to transfer files onto your phone.
For example I just drag the *.3gp file into the I:\ Video folder.
I think for ipods you need to import it to itunes then transfer it onto the ipod.
I hope this guide was helpful.
Peter.
