I bought an IBM/Lenovo Laptop T61 about 4 weeks ago. It worked fine for a week or two, and then after that I noticed that my C: meter in Vista was getting fuller. I thought, meh, maybe it's just using up a fair bit.
Then last week, I turned on the laptop and found that my 120 GB hard drive had 8 GB left, despite only having 1 program and several txt files on it on my part. I ran disk checks, analyzed with Diskeeper, searched through the settings, and found nothing. I took it to a friend's house to show him, and when I started it again, it had used up another 1/2 GB.
Then today I started it, and It came up with 5.03 GB of free memory, despite Program Folder and Windows Folder taking up only 18 GB together.
Any ideas where all the memory's disappearing to?
Specs:
Vista Business
NVidia 140M Quadro
C2D T7500, 2.2 GHz
120 GB Hard Drive
2GB RAM
I also ran some AVG Free scans. Nothing turned up.
