Im kinda in charge of running this server for my Dad's business. Nothing enterprise, <5 workstations, file sharing, backup etc.

But i find it all kinda interesting and feel that im not using the server to its full potential... so i want to learn more on this subject.

As such, im in search of a Windows Server 2003s.com, something with a bit of it all. Some guides, forums, tutorials, Exchange, News etc.

Anyone know any good sites?

Thanks

Exactly. Anyone wana put me out of the misery of sifting through 1,380,000 results and lead me straight to a semi decent one?

This book is really good..."The best damn windows server 2003 book"
it's comprehensive...

another thing about server 2003 is that there are wizards to guide you in most everything
you just need to setup user accts and do backups right...?

Windows server 2003 is very similar to Win XP...

Thanks for trying to help.

I dont really want any books (ive got some tuorial videos allready), just wanted a decent allround Server website (not just tutorials) but where i could lean more. I dont feel im using it to its full potential so a site with news, reviews, forums, guides etc is what im after,

oic ... you can load anything you want on it ...

Below are 3 type of portal that without any programming you just set up ... I've a lot with DotNetNuke and WSS ...

DotNetNuke: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/
Sharepoint: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/wind … 00747.aspx
phpNuke: http://phpnuke.org/

even if you want mainly forums you can use http://punbb.org/ like bf2s. Don't feel that because it is a windows server that is has to be all Microsoft stuff.

The best way to master 2k3 is hands on lab and you get this by reading some books and practice with a server, you can setup a virtual server to start from scratch.

Appreciating the effort... but you kinda got the wrong end of the stick (im so poor at putting into words what i wana say in my head). I dont want to make a forum... just find a website (possibly with a forum) that can teach me about Server 2003.

That Sharepoint link looks good though... even if it is boring technet.

How about this, im looking for alternative technet websites!

Yep, ive setup Server 2003 and 2008 in some virtual machines and play with them (when Vista doesn't eat too much RAM beforehand)
