You may know, i was planning to upgrade my PC with about £350.

Now i've just decided to buy a Xbox360 and some stuff.

So, if i want me Xbox360 to be able to be wired into the net, and play thru my PC monitor, what do i need?

If it's wired it's no problem, just use the ethernet cable that comes with it.

To play through your PC monitor I'm not sure.

Well i have a tv tuner card that has th red yellow and white jacks so i plug my 360 in those and play it on my screen using a program standard with my computer, giga pocket

I do the same thing and you need the 360 VGA cable from Microsoft. Lucky for me my monitor had a DVI slot and a VGA slot, so both can be hooked up at once.

For the internet, you can just use the ethernet cable that comes with it, as someone said, but your gonna need XBOX live as well as you probly know.

For the pc monitor part get a VGA cable but you also need to think about sound. I hooked my PC monitor up with my xbox and forgot it didn't have speakers, so i had to hook up my hifi speakers to it (using the audio connections on the VGA cable). Sounds sexy.

I bought the Microsoft official one because I heard the unofficial one didn't have the same audio connections... not sure whether that was true but you would wanna check that out

Well my surround sound input is scart, but i have a scart-> r&w&y input lead adaptor.

You need this cable. Click here. You can get very cheap from Ebay.

However, make sure the 360 you get has HDMI, so you can get a DVI-HDMI cable.

For online, just use the Ethernet cable.

Yeh, sorted it out. Im getting the 360 elite, XBL for a year, VGA cable, COD4.
