I just ordered a new video card.  One of the reviews said it was better suited to high-end video playback rather than gaming.

I figure for under $90 it's a 2600XT with 512 of GDDR3, it'll smoke my current X600 (256 DDR1).

How does a Video card effect surround sound ?

Would I be better off playing DVDs through my computer rather than a regular DVD player?

I thought HDMI was an equivilant of a video-out.

It's actually video AND sound ?

Didnt the Radeon 2xxx have build in sound (cards) or summin?

Whatever it is, its not a bad thing!
