I'm not sure if this is tech, but it does realte to my comp.

All right; I got a motorola L7 SLVR (eur. version). I charged it, but i don't have a SD card.
Then i install the motophone tools cd on my comp; all well and good. I connect the phone, and yet nothing can seem to read it. Not motophone, not other 3rd party p2k sofware, and when i click on the "removable drive" icon in [my computer] it says, "please insert drive K:"
all i want to do is put music on it, jeez!
anyways, i'd appreciate any and all help.

Try using a different SD card, or using a card reader to put stuff onto the card.

no, no. i DON'T have a sd card. or a reader. and my comp, being a desktop, has no bluetooth

There's your problem: You need an SD card. They're plenty cheap these days.

Will have compatible memory for your phone

As said above though you need a card to actually store the tunes/pictures etc

are you running vista? if so, or even on xp in some phones, it will be unable to find a driver for your phone. try these usb drivers:

http://www.motorola.com/Hellomoto/Commo … ver_32.zip - 32 BIT
http://www.motorola.com/Hellomoto/Commo … ver_64.zip - 64 BIT

after u install those drivers, relaunch phone tools and it should detect your phone this time. follow the onscreen instructions and only connect the phone when told to

I'm running Xp home SP2, and i just got a micro SD card. still no change, although now it says, instead of "please insert drive K:", "The drive is not formatted". i click yes, it says cannot format, then i click no, and nothing happens. and the phone tools still doesn't recognize it.

I like pie.

Ok, so apparently my 2gb card isn't recognized--it can't be over 1gb
anyone know when they'll upgrade the sofware?
