Defcon, you're going to want to keep RAM sticks of the same capacity in the same colored slots.  But putting them in different colored slots shouldn't make your mobo completely ignore that other 512 Mb stick...

As for "immaturity" I throw it around frequently primarily because I see it frequently. Everyone who disagrees with me is not necessarily immature. However, Mitch is a terrible offender here, as is every lawbreaker. Why should I not call you what you are?
